Waking up super early for the first day of school, throwing on my fresh Patrick Ewing Sneakers that go perfectly with my school uniform and making sure i don't lose my S-Pass (Bus Pass) on the way to the Bus stop lol...
As i head to Lexington Marketing running late to the subway as usual i'm reflecting on my environment. Damn the city kind horrible but hey i love it here. what would i be without my roots? I played Lor Scoota "Ready or Not" every morning for almost a month straight thinking about where i come from. West Baltimore born n Raised I always like to say. It kinda suck he not with us no more because he was truly gifted. One of the Main reason you will always see me Throw up "West Side" and Chasing Paper. #Longliveupnext
Some days I didn't want to hear music. Somedays i just needed someone to talk to. But everyday I led with the same Heart and Soul President Davo put into this Freestyle. If you asked me "do you know who President Davo is" I would literally quote this song word 4 word ! A real one gone too soon... I used to love them Pep Rally's we used to have back in Middle School lol they was lit ! When you heard that trap phone ring intro you knew what time it was Clear the Floor !! We about to go Dumb you heard me ! but that was the feeling Young Moose always gave me. Even before fights after school i used to get amped up listening to Young Moose lmao. Back when Cookouts didn't get shot up. Back when parks had everybody and they Greatest Grandmother outside. for some reason i don't know why but Baltimore City just felt Different around this time. you just had to be there to Understand
Now when I tell Yall this was the Hottest Freestyle back in 2019 you could not tell me nothing !!! This around the time i started getting my money right too OMG y'all don't understand i think i was up a couple racks just because of #Teck. Listening to his music made me want to hustle all year ! In a funny way he kinda Held me accountable in his music in a way. Sometimes you just have to listen. If you Interested in that hustle move He my top 3 when it come to it !
Now Lets Talk about the Kickbacks. Lets talk about the Parties and the crazy nights outside late with your friends past curfew stressing Ma Dukes out. If this wasn't on your Playlist to turn things up then you literally wasn't outside. One thing i love about my city is that we dance ! In my opinion better than any other state in the US. When you hear "Somebody go in tell the DJ he should bring this Back" you literally know what song it was and what time it was instantly... I literally watched somebody Spill Alcohol all over themselves just to hit the Dance floor to this song. Its Undefeated til this day.
