DTB RYAN: From the Bronx to Baltimore City an Artist with a Vision Bigger Than His Circumstances

For DTB RYAN, the story starts in two cities that raised him the hard way. The Bronx and Baltimore. Two different places, same struggle. Low income, heavy vibes, and limited options. But that didn’t stop him from dreaming bigger than his environment.

“Daily Street Activities,” he says plainly. “Both in the Bronx and Baltimore low income, violence, low opportunities… but big dreams.”

And DTB RYAN didn’t just dream. He moved. When most would’ve stayed stuck, he made the choice to bet on himself. That turning point came when he dropped out of college not out of failure, but because he knew his purpose was too big to fit in someone else’s box.

“I felt like I had a bigger vision and bigger purpose,” he explains.

From that moment, the grind got real. He jumped headfirst into music and didn’t stop there he also launched his own business, DTB Fragrances, carving out a lane in entrepreneurship while building his name in the streets and the sound waves. Like most Black men chasing greatness, DTB RYAN’s biggest battles haven’t been external they’ve been internal.

“My biggest challenge has been my own mental state,” he shares. “Sometimes we become our worst enemies when we go through a lot of mental wars we don’t speak about.”

Still, music became the safe space. His therapy. A place to pour out the pain and pick himself up again. And behind the scenes? A small circle that keeps him grounded and lifted at the same time

“My circle is small but it’s everything I have. Shoutout @Greedyrah my biggest motivation besides my mother.”

That focus and foundation helped DTB RYAN rise beyond the local scene. He’s worked with some of the hottest names out of New York City and Baltimore, including Richie Rozay, Neek Bucks, Shani Boni, Roddy Rackzz, OTR Chaz, and YMC Ant. These aren’t just collabs they’re milestones.

Each track, each feature, each move he makes carries the weight of where he came from and the vision of where he’s going.
