When you hear the name Chloe Samone Gross, you’re not just hearing a name, you’re hearing a legacy in motion. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Chloe has been building businesses, breaking stereotypes, and branding dreams since most kids were still figuring out their favorite color.

Now known as the CEO behind Gfxsbysamone, Chloe wears many hats: graphic designer, entrepreneur, marketing director, college student, and proud Baltimore native. And she’s doing it all with intention, grace, and intelligence that’s impossible to ignore.

“I would say I was privileged in my upbringing,” she says. “I was encouraged to be a go-getter.” But growing up in a city where the media is quick to highlight the negatives, Chloe made it her mission early on to shine a different kind of light on Baltimore. “My family instilled in me the drive to prove people wrong and show a different side of my city.”

She’s been proving them wrong since she was seven years old.

Chloe launched her first business, Crafty Girlz, with her cousins, selling handmade earrings, bracelets, and duct-tape flower pens. Yes, you read that right seven! She followed that up with Dripped ByC, offering custom clothing, stacked jeans, pendant necklaces, and bangles. While other kids were selling lemonade, Chloe was building empires.

Eventually, her passion evolved into graphic design and that’s when Gfxsbysamone was born. “I’m currently in college at Towson University for graphic design,” she says. “It’s my passion to help other entrepreneurs with their branding.”

Through her work, she’s helped shape the look and feel of brands across the city, including collaborations with photographers like Iishootfilms and clothing labels like Loyaute. Her clean, bold, and modern design aesthetic speaks to a generation that understands the power of visuals and the importance of representing your culture with style.

Still, her journey hasn’t been without its challenges.

“The hardest part is balancing all the moving parts,” she says. “Being a full-time student and a business owner isn’t easy, but I manage it.” And when you see the resume she’s built, you know she’s not exaggerating.

Chloe recently wrapped up her term as Director of Marketing for Towson’s Student Government Association, a major role that put her in charge of campus-wide communications. “I’m proud of that,” she says. “It was an honor to be trusted with marketing for such a big organization.”

But she didn’t stop there…

Now, she’s the Social Media Chair for Towson’s Black Student Union, a role that means more than just content. “It’s a blessing to be part of a Black organization at a PWI,” she says. She’s also holding it down as the Graphic Designer for the Campus Activities Board, shaping the look of events and student engagement across the university.

And her business? Still growing! Gfxsbysamone is booking more clients than ever and recently partnered with a suite company as the official graphic designer for all its tenants.

At every turn, Chloe Samone Gross is building something bigger than herself. She’s not just creating visuals, she’s crafting opportunities, opening doors, and setting a new standard for young Black women in design and business.

Her message is clear: You can be from Baltimore and still move like a boss. You can be young and still handle business. You can carry culture and still create clean, professional work that speaks across industries. And most importantly, “you can do it all and still be you”.
